Mihoshi Academy (三星学園 Mihoshi Gakuen?) is one of the schools featured in the Big Windup! series. It is also the first school to be introduced after Nishiura High School.

Background[]

Mihoshi Academy is a private school located in the Gunma Prefecture and is owned by Mihashi's grandfather. It has both middle school and high school departments. There are dormitories which accommodates students (at least, confirmed for high school students). Ren Mihashi attended there in his middle school years and his cousin, Ruri Mihashi currently studies there as well.

The students wear blazers and pants (for boys) or skirts (for girls).

Baseball team[]

Background[]

Both the middle school and high school levels in Mihoshi have a baseball club. Nishiura's current pitcher, Ren Mihashi, used to play in the middle school's baseball team as their starting pitcher and ace. Due to unfavorable views on Mihashi (being the ace of the team - which according to his former teammates, due to favoritism), the team didn't have a very good results in the tournament during the past three years.

There is no concrete record for the current set of players in the high school baseball team. Since Mihoshi's game coincided with practice game against Nishiura High School, the players who faced Nishiura during the practice game weren't the regular players but rather only first-year students and a substitute coach. Also, 5 out of 9 players in the line-up are graduates of the Mihoshi Academy - middle school department and Mihashi's former teammates. Kano can be assumed as part of the regular team since he did mention to Mihashi that he pitched in one of the tournament games for Mihoshi.

The baseball team has two sets of uniforms - one during tournaments and the other for their practice games. Their uniform for tournaments is in white and light blue combinations while their uniform for practice games are in light blue, dark blue and white. Both uniforms have the name print 'MIHOSHI' at the center and the letter 'M' on their cap. The catcher, during the team's defence (practice game), wears a white helmet without the logo. In the team's offence (practice game), the player wears a white helmet with the logo (in light blue color). A small star can be found at the upper left (viewer's POV) of the name print and logo.

Unlike Nishiura, the school has their own baseball grounds with lightings.

Team members[]

The list of team members is based on their line-up when they have faced Nishiura. Note that there is a possibility that not all players included in the list are regular players of Mihoshi during tournament games.
